With more than 20 years experience in the service provider and IT management industry, David built ScienceLogic into one of the fastest growing technology companies in the world. From the start his vision for ScienceLogic has been to enable the industry to embrace a smarter way of managing complex IT environments.

David previously served as senior vice president and a corporate officer at Interliant, where he helped establish the company’s strong presence in the ASP/MSP market. He also held senior management positions within IBM's Software Division, leading the development of Internet commerce products, and with CompuServe, building global online communication solutions for businesses and consumers. He holds a bachelor of science degree from Denison University.

Michael Nappi is the Chief Product Officer at ScienceLogic. His primary responsibilities include driving product strategy and execution for ScienceLogic’s SL1 platform. Prior to ScienceLogic, Michael led engineering and product teams at both Microsoft and ServiceNow over a 22 year career. Mr. Nappi has a proven track record of building successful products for enterprise customers – and is a recognized expert in the areas of cloud computing, workflow, process automation, and software engineering methodology. Michael graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1986 and lives in San Diego with his wife and two sons.

Rich serves infrastructure and operations (I&O) professionals as a Forrester analyst. His expertise focuses on operations intelligence, including advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-related techniques for enterprise, application, infrastructure, and services performance monitoring and management, service delivery, and business insights. He has a passion for how automation and machine learning can free I&O practitioners from traditional maintenance and incident management activities, so they can spend their time making IT services more valuable for the business.

Previous Work Experience
Rich joins Forrester from Splunk, a leading provider of machine learning and analytics software that enables organizations to monitor, identify, solve, and predict issues across their IT ecosystem. At Splunk, Rich engaged with customers across multiple verticals (pharma, finance, public utilities) to implement solutions that provide real-time insight into their operations and performance from both an IT and business perspective. Prior to Splunk, Rich spent several years at Bain Capital and Marsh & McLennan designing incident and problem management processes from the ground up and implementing them throughout the various IT teams. He also managed infrastructure modernization and automation efforts to optimize performance and operations. Earlier in his career, Rich worked managing teams on large-scale data management projects and in other IT roles for internet startups and software companies. Rich also spent five years traveling the world in the United States Marine Corps as an avionics specialist.

Education
Rich has an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and is ITIL Foundations (V3) certified.
